Join the EdTech Center in RC 245 every Thursday from 1 pm to 3 pm to enhance the accessibility of your Canvas courses!

Each session will begin with a 30-minute tutorial on a specific accessibility topic, followed by open lab time where you can work on your course and ask questions. Whether you use the computers in the lab or bring your own laptop, you’ll have the support you need to address accessibility concerns.

April 17 – Remediating PDF Files

Explore techniques for making PDF files accessible to all users.

April 24 – Creating Accessible PowerPoints

Learn how to design PowerPoint presentations that are accessible and engaging.

May 1 – Accessible Tables and Graphs

Gain insights into creating tables and graphs that are easy to understand and navigate.

May 8 – Captioning Videos in Yuja

Get hands-on experience with adding captions to videos using Yuja.

May 15 – Adding Audio Descriptions to Videos

Learn how to enhance video accessibility by adding audio descriptions. Learn tips for how to record videos that include these descriptions up-front so you do not need to remediate them later.
