2019 Bird Collision Study - Window Dots, Have They Done the Job of Reducing Bird Deaths on Campus? In-Person
Based on the data gathered during the 2018 Bird Collision Study, various methods of window remediation were installed in our worst bird killing locations before the 2019 spring migration. What was most effective in reducing bird strikes? We will go through the data and see what is working best on campus, what we should do next to alleviate bird strikes. We will also talk about the regional study BirdStrikesKC that is based on JCCC's study, how you can participate, and inexpensive things you can do at home if you have windows that get hit by birds.
